Return Of The Prodigal! - Half A Diesel Day!

Diesel events at the Bo'ness & Kinneil Railway frequently have visiting locomotives, and they vary from very interesting down to (in my opinion anyway) the fairly mundane. And since I generally know what locos will be there in advance, I don't show up every time. But for the July event in 2012, I had the dates memorised well in advance since of the four visiting locomotives, two were former Scottish-based diesels. Alas it worked out that weekend that I could only travel behind one of these, so the title above refers to 26038, making it's Scottish preservation debut.

Having had a fun evening filming Class 26 action on Friday 27/7/12, I was next able to go back to Bo'ness on Sunday 29/7/12 (and only just made it in time for the first train of the day!). However in order not to neglect my own preservation activities I needed to get over to Methil by mid-afternoon. In practice this meant I had to leave after the 5th train of the day returned to Bo'ness, and although I skipped the 4th round trip I filmed some lunchtime shunting at Bo'ness instead. And having done my customary capturing from that footage I have an awful lot of pictures to choose from. (510 to be precise! :-) And here are the best of them!
