Heading East!

Six years after giving our assistance in returning FRF63 to Fife, it turned out that the friend of ours who had preserved it had taken on too many preservation commitments, and wanted to sell it. On this occasion I couldn't help persionally (I had spent a fair amount on restoring 26040 in the winter of 2002-3) but my friend Alistair bought it instead.

As usual the next thing we needed to do was move FRF63 from Lathalmond to Methil to join our 'collection', and since it was not capable of being driven there we arranged to get towed there on 25th June 2003. And naturally I had my camcorder on hand to record the trip, which in fact was one of the last pieces of footage I filmed with my original camcorder which failed soon after!
