A (BR) Blue Finish!
On 17th August 2003, the day after we painted the cabs ends of 26040 in yellow, we moved on to apply the last of the BR Blue paint to the bodysides. In truth there wasn't much left to paint, as we had left undone the four cabsides which had been vulnerable to yellow paint drips the previous day, but it wasn't as simple a job as all that as we had to undercoat the four sections, and then 'hot-coat' the BR Blue gloss once the undercoat was touch-dry.
