26029 & 26040 At Aviemore In 1978

This is intended to be a set of pictures of 26040 during its BR career, arranged chronologically, and to kick off this section here is an excellent picture 'borrowed' from Steve Jones of 26040 coupled inside 26029 at Aviemore on 23/8/78. Steve has supplied me with a larger version of this picture, which can be seen here. Alas, this is currently the only picture I have of 26040 in my favourite livery, but if I find more (or re-paint the loco!), I'll add more!
