Agent	VHS-virus (Rhabdo-)
Hosts	Salmonids and non-salmonids, e.g turbot and Pacific cod.
Location	All organs incl. kidney.
Type of lesion	Degeneration progressing to necrosis in both nephrons and interstitial tissue, haemorrhage.
Special features
Diagnosis	Immunohistochemistry, histology. Differential diagnosis include IHN, toxic damage.

VHS in farmed rainbow trout. Degeneration of interstitial tissue
is progressing to necrosis of kidney tubules.
