Looking for somewhere to dispose of logs in Central Scotland? Milton Corn Mill in Stirling is less than a mile from Junction 9 on the M9 - where the M9 (Edinburgh-Stirling) branches into the M80 (Glasgow-Stirling) at Pirnhall. We accept all sawn timber from trees and even building sites, but prefer hardwoods like birch, beech, alder, oak, cherry etc. Ideally all logs should be less than 50cm long. We do not accept garden cuttings, although small, cut branches from trees are no problem. All loads must be clean and free from rubbish. Deliveries are only accepted by prior arrangement, but do phone Anton on 07770 727801 for more information.
Milton Corn Mill is currently being converted into our family home and we will be burning wood for heating. We believe that we can help tree surgeons, garden maintenance companies and skip hire centres to reduce their costs when they needlessly send wood to landfill and provide a model for sustainable heating approaches, even though the area is served by mains gas.
